Sports Illustrated Warehouse, located adjacent to the iconic Villa Park, is an exciting new, multi-purpose venue designed for live music, comedy, theatre, conferences, exhibitions, private events and sporting events including boxing and darts. As well as hosting an incredible calendar of events throughout the year, Sports Illustrated Warehouse will become the go-to destination for Aston Villa supporters to enjoy before and after home matches, playing a key role in Birmingham's vibrant entertainment and cultural scene.
Working with Constellation, part of the Levy UK family, we're looking for energetic, confident and experienced Bar Staff to help bring this exciting new venue to life. What you'll be doing:
- Delivering exceptional customer service in a lively, high-volume bar environment.
- Preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Engaging with guests and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
- Recommending drinks and confidently answering customer questions.
- Maintaining excellent product knowledge across beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and alcohol-free options.
- Understanding the importance of correct glassware, garnishes and premium presentation.
- Ensuring bars remain clean, stocked and ready for service.
- Operating tills and handling transactions accurately.
- Following all company and venue policies relating to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH.
What we're looking for:
- You must be aged 18 or over.
- A minimum of 1 year's bar experience is essential.
- Previous experience working in a busy pub, bar, restaurant, nightclub or live event venue.
- A vibrant personality with the confidence to engage with guests and create a memorable experience.
- Excellent knowledge of drinks, glassware, garnishes and premium service standards.
- Understanding of the importance of offering and promoting 0% and low-alcohol options.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- A true team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
This is a Casual Matchday & Events Position. This is a casual, flexible role, offering opportunities to work Aston Villa home matchdays as well as an exciting programme of live music, comedy, theatre, sporting events, private functions and other major events hosted at Sports Illustrated Warehouse throughout the year. Availability for the following fixtures is essential: August 29th, September 12th, October 10th and all remaining Aston Villa home fixtures throughout the season, plus additional events where available.
