The predicted salary is between 32218 - 35256 £ per year.
We are currently looking to recruit experienced Class 1 drivers to work within our Grimsby site, as part of a cold store operation. Working on a 5 out of 7 shift pattern.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to statutory regulations governing road haulage.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and vehicle defect reporting.
- Keep vehicles clean (inside and out).
- Responsible for vehicles and loads.
- Checking Loading/Unloading.
- Reporting problems with deliveries.
- Responsible for obtaining signed receipts for deliveries and collections.
- Ensure maintenance of required load temperatures and load conditions.
- Ensure receipt of good pallets or PCV at delivery.
- Carry out security checks and ensure the security of vehicle and load.
- Carry out any other duties as laid down in the current issue of the Driver's Handbook.
Requirements:
- Previous experience driving an HGV.
- Relevant licence to drive an HGV.
- Valid driver CPC.
- A positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- A keen attention to detail and work accuracy.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility.
- Willingness to do nights away is essential.
