Constellation is seeking a people-focused leader to take ownership of the casual workforce delivery across NEC Group venues – including the NEC, VOX, Utilita Arena Birmingham, bp pulse LIVE and ICC Birmingham. This is a regional role where you will oversee the recruitment, training, and deployment of workforce across multiple venues simultaneously, supporting a diverse and high-volume calendar of events – from major exhibitions and conferences to premium live experiences.

You will lead a regional team of 4, including 3 Regional People Consultants and a Regional Trainer & Recruiter, driving performance and consistency across all venues. Operating at pace in a dynamic, multi-site environment, you will ensure the right people are in place, fully prepared, and consistently delivering to the highest standards.

The Role

As Regional Lead, you will take full ownership of workforce delivery across NEC Group venues, leading a team and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive consistency, capability, and performance across all sites. You will operate across multiple venues simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and ensuring consistent delivery in a high-pressure, event-led environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 3 Regional People Consultants and a Regional Trainer & Recruiter
  • Overseeing workforce planning, staffing delivery, and operational support across all venues
  • Owning recruitment strategy and building strong, sustainable talent pipelines to support peak trading periods (September–May)
  • Driving training, onboarding, and structured upskilling to ensure a capable, event-ready workforce
  • Ensuring consistency in processes, reporting, and workforce standards across all venues
  • Acting as the senior Constellation contact for General Managers, operational leaders, and client stakeholders
  • Overseeing labour planning and workforce performance
  • Ensuring effective coverage and support for check-in and event delivery across all operational sites

What We’re Looking For

This role requires a confident operator who can lead from the front and bring structure to a complex, multi-site operation:

  • Proven experience leading teams in hospitality, events, or high-volume operational environments, including managing large casual staffing workforces across dynamic operational settings
  • Experience managing multi-site operations or large, flexible workforces
  • Strong planning, organisational, and decision-making capability
  • Ability to operate at pace and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence and build credibility at senior level
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and performance
  • A people-first approach, with a strong focus on engagement, development, and delivery

Why Join Constellation?

  • Work at the centre of large-scale event delivery across multiple flagship venues
  • Lead a function that directly impacts operational performance and guest experience
  • Real ownership, accountability, and visibility at a regional level
  • Opportunity to shape recruitment, training, and workforce capability across a complex, multi-site operation
  • Fast-paced, high-impact role where no two days or events are the same
  • This role offers exposure across the wider Constellation venue portfolio, with opportunities to support the broader business and flagship events across multiple locations.

Additional Information

  • 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
  • Evening and weekend working required in line with event schedules
  • Predominantly site-based role across NEC Group venues

If you’re ready to take ownership of workforce delivery across a flagship venue portfolio, we’d love to hear from you.
