Looking for a behind‑the‑scenes role in one of Birmingham's most exciting new entertainment venues? Sports Illustrated Warehouse, located adjacent to the iconic Villa Park, is a vibrant, multi‑purpose venue designed for live music, comedy, theatre, conferences, exhibitions, private events and sporting events including boxing and darts. As well as hosting an incredible calendar of events throughout the year, Sports Illustrated Warehouse will become the go‑to destination for Aston Villa supporters before and after home matches, playing a key role in Birmingham's thriving entertainment and cultural scene.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and organise deliveries into the cellar.
- Rotate and replenish stock throughout service.
- Transport kegs, casks, bottles and other stock safely to bar areas.
- Change kegs and support the smooth operation of cellar equipment.
- Maintain clean, organised and safe cellar areas.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
- Support bar teams to ensure uninterrupted service during busy events.
- Follow all company and venue policies relating to Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Hygiene and COSHH.
Additional Information
This is a casual, flexible role, offering opportunities to work Aston Villa home matchdays as well as an exciting programme of live music, comedy, theatre, sporting events, private functions and other major events hosted at Sports Illustrated Warehouse throughout the year. Availability for the following fixtures is essential: Monday 28th July, Monday 4th August, Thursday 28th August and all remaining Aston Villa home fixtures throughout the season, plus additional events where available.
Qualifications
- Must be aged 18 or over.
- Previous experience working in a cellar, warehouse or hospitality stock role is desirable, and a strong understanding of cellar operations and stock management is advantageous.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting.
- A reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- A team player with a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
