Join our compassionate team as a Registered Nurse Associate (RNA) at our nursing home for elderly residents in Middlesbrough Grange, Fosdyke Green.
As an RNA, you will provide direct nursing care to elderly residents with long‑term conditions and palliative needs. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or senior professional, assisting in assessments, administering medications, performing clinical procedures, managing long‑term conditions, and supporting residents and families. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and maintain compliance with NMC guidelines, while engaging in continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to elderly residents with complex needs.
- Assist in assessment and development of individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, catheter care, blood pressure monitoring.
- Manage long‑term conditions (e.g., diabetes, COPD, dementia, heart disease).
- Offer education and support to residents and families regarding chronic conditions and care planning.
- Collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers for holistic care.
- Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines and legal requirements.
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
- Provide care during shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights.
- Accredited Nursing Associate programme graduate or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse Associate.
- Previous experience in a care home, hospital, or community care setting preferred.
- Background with elderly residents and long‑term conditions, dementia, or palliative care advantageous.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with effective communication.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and understand NMC guidelines.
