The purpose of the Registered Nurse role is to support the Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager in providing leadership to care staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care within the service. The role involves maintaining professional clinical skills, managing care delivery in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, and ensuring care is delivered in accordance with agreed standards, best practice, and financial plans.
Responsibilities
- Care Delivery: Ensure service users are at the centre of care delivery and their wishes and preferences support their wellbeing.
- Care Delivery: Undertake care planning to meet service users’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Care Delivery: Develop care plans in collaboration with service users, families, friends, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Care Delivery: Provide nursing care in line with policies, procedures, legislation, and best practice.
- Care Delivery: Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills.
- Medication and Clinical Practice: Undertake all aspects of medication management in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
