We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our nursing home for elderly residents, specialising in long‑term conditions and end‑of‑life care. As a Nurse, you will work under the supervision of a senior healthcare professional, supporting the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents with complex needs and palliative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and support to elderly residents with long‑term conditions and end‑of‑life needs.
  • Assist with assessment and development of individualised care plans, ensuring each resident’s physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Administer medication, ensuring prescribed treatments are followed, documented, and monitored for side effects, in accordance with NMC standards.
  • Carry out clinical procedures such as wound and catheter care, blood pressure monitoring, and other routine medical tasks.
  • Manage long‑term conditions (e.g., diabetes, COPD, dementia, heart disease) to maintain residents’ comfort and dignity.
  • Educate residents and families about chronic condition management, care options, and advance care planning.
  • Collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, social workers, and other team members to provide holistic, person‑centred care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in long‑term and end‑of‑life care.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

  • Registered Nurse with prior experience in a care home, hospital, or community‑based setting.
  • Experience with elderly residents and long‑term or palliative care is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities, are essential.
