We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing resident accounts, local authority funding, and third-party payments while maintaining a sensitive and professional approach appropriate to the care sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage resident accounts, including private, local authority, and NHS-funded care
- Ensure timely collection of fees and outstanding balances
- Liaise with residents, families, local authorities, and funding bodies regarding payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve payment queries efficiently
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with regulatory requirements
- Work closely with care home managers and the wider finance team
- Prepare aged debt reports and support month-end processes
Skills & Requirements
- Confident communicating sensitively with residents and families
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable working with accounting software and Excel
- Proven experience in credit control
