Do you enjoy turning marketing into measurable business growth? Are you looking for a role where you can take ownership, not just execute someone else's plan? Would flexibility around your working week make a big difference, without sacrificing responsibility or impact? If so, this could be a really interesting opportunity.
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and growing technology services provider based in Herne Bay. They support a range of SME clients with modern IT solutions and have built a strong reputation for long-term partnerships and high-quality service. They are now looking for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of their marketing function. This is not a role where you will just keep things ticking over. It is about driving growth, generating opportunities, and shaping how the business presents itself in the market. You will have the autonomy to bring ideas, test approaches, and see the direct impact of your work on pipeline and revenue.
Salary & Working Options
This role offers flexibility depending on what works best for you. The salary will be pro-rated based on your chosen working pattern:
- Full-time (5 days): Up to £40,000
- 4 days per week: Up to £32,000
- Shorter days (e.g. school hours, approx. 9:30am - 2:30pm): Around £26,000
The business is open to structuring the role in a way that works for the right person whether that is fewer days or shorter hours while still giving you ownership and impact.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on marketing role where you will be responsible for both strategy and delivery. You will:
- Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, content, social, and events
- Own and continuously improve the company website
- Manage and deliver events from concept through to execution
- Drive social media activity with a clear focus on engagement and audience alignment
- Generate qualified leads (MQLs) and support conversion into sales opportunities
- Work closely with sales and leadership to align marketing with revenue targets
- Track performance, measure ROI, and optimise campaigns accordingly
- Manage marketing spend and ensure effective use of budget
- Explore partnerships, sponsorships, and brand-building opportunities
- Support a future rebrand and ongoing brand development
What They Are Looking For
- Experience in a B2B marketing role, ideally within IT services, MSP, SaaS, or a technology-led environment
- Someone who understands lead generation and pipeline, not just brand awareness
- Hands-on experience across digital marketing, websites, and campaign delivery
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, analytics tools, and marketing platforms
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to link marketing activity to revenue outcomes
Why This Role Stands Out
- You will have ownership of marketing, not just execution
- Your work will have a direct impact on growth and revenue
- You will work closely with decision-makers and influence strategy
- A rare level of flexibility, without losing the scope or importance of the role
If you are looking for a Marketing Manager role where you can make an impact and shape the role around how you work best we would be very happy to talk this through with you.
