If you are ambitious, commercially aware, and ready to propel your career towards a future Head of Projects role, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

This is a brand-new role with a growing Managed Service Provider based near Tonbridge, offering a rare “blank canvas” to define and shape how projects are delivered.

You will take ownership of client projects from day one, ensuring they are delivered profitably, on time, and to a consistently high standard. You will also create the frameworks, governance, and processes that will scale with the business.

You will join the leadership team from day one, working closely with the Managing Director, and will have the autonomy to design how project delivery should look in a modern, ambitious MSP.

This is an ideal next step for someone who has already managed IT projects in an MSP or professional services environment and wants to move into a leadership role with a clear progression path:

  • 2026: Head of Projects
  • 2027/8: Director of Projects (with full P&L ownership)

What You Will Do

  • Deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining consistent profit margins.
  • Build and implement repeatable project delivery frameworks within ConnectWise.
  • Create structured handovers between Sales → Projects → Service.
  • Develop governance, reporting, and resource planning models.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and scope new project opportunities.
  • Produce proposals and Statements of Work.
  • Lead and mentor a small but growing projects team (1 initially, expanding to 2–3 by 2026).
  • Report directly to the Managing Director and contribute to quarterly and annual strategy sessions.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent project profitability.
  • Standardised, reportable delivery processes.
  • High client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Effective use of tools such as ConnectWise, BrightGauge, Rewst, and Hudu.

What You Bring

  • Essential:
  • Proven IT project management experience within an MSP or IT services company.
  • Strong technical grounding across Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, and hardware.
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and margins.
  • Confident in producing proposals, SOWs, and managing suppliers/vendors.
  • Process-driven with the ability to build structure in a fast-growing environment.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ambitious and ready to grow into senior leadership.
  • Desirable:
  • Project management certifications (Prince2, AgilePM, PMP).
  • Previous P&L accountability.
  • Experience building or formalising a project function.

The Rewards

  • £60,000 salary
  • Quarterly bonus (up to 5% of salary)
  • Annual bonus (up to 10% of salary)
  • Clear, achievable performance metrics tied to delivery, profitability, and revenue.
  • Leadership development and mentoring.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in the company’s strategic growth.
