The firm is looking for a skilled and motivated Probate Solicitor to join its expanding team. You will be joining a department that deals with a broad range of client matters, including complex estate administration, tax planning, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney. Key Responsibilities As a Probate Solicitor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: * Managing a caseload of probate files, from initial instruction to estate distribution * Advising clients on inheritance tax planning, wills, trusts, and LPAs * Working with taxable and non-taxable estates, including high-value or complex matters * Drafting legal documents with precision and clarity * Registering and managing Lasting Powers of Attorney * Maintaining high levels of client care and compliance with regulatory standards * Supervising and supporting junior team members * Contributing to business development initiatives and representing the firm in client meetings and networking events Candidate Requirements * Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 3–5 years’ PQE * Strong technical understanding of estate administration and inheritance tax * Confident managing files independently and working collaboratively with others * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Commercial awareness and a proactive attitude toward business development * Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is a bonus * STEP qualification is desirable but not essential (support available if working towards it) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum * Performance-related bonus scheme * Free parking at both Faversham and Sittingbourne offices * Generous annual leave (typically 30 days, plus bank holidays) * A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment * Clear path for progression and professional development Location This role accessible from locations across Kent including Canterbury, Ashford, Maidstone, Whitstable, Faversham, Medway Towns, Herne Bay, and the surrounding villages.
