Are you an IT Support Engineer with experience in schools or the education sector? Do you enjoy a mix of site visits and remote support work? Are you based in Kent and looking for a new opportunity with variety and flexibility? We are recruiting for a growing IT services provider that supports schools across Kent. They are looking for an Education IT Support Engineer to join their team, working with primary and secondary schools across areas such as Herne Bay, Thanet, New Romney and Swanley.
You will be providing technical support across a group of school sites – a mix of scheduled onsite visits and remote troubleshooting. When not attending schools, you will help out with remote tickets and support as part of the central Service Desk.
What you will be doing:
- Attending schools to resolve IT issues – anything from laptops and printers to SIMS and networks
- Logging, updating and resolving tickets – and escalating where needed
- Helping staff with technical queries in person, by phone, or email
- Supporting a wide range of technologies – Windows, Google Workspace, Apple, SIMS, Wi-Fi, and more
- Keeping documentation and site records up to date
- Contributing to school IT planning and roadmaps
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
- Previous IT support experience (ideally Level 1 / 2) – education sector experience is a bonus
- Good communication and people skills – friendly, helpful, and professional
- Confidence supporting a range of systems and software
- Happy to travel regularly to schools across Kent
