Are you a Marketing Executive who loves creating content and bringing ideas to life?

Are you the sort of person who uses your initiative, asks questions and gets stuck in rather than waiting to be told what to do?

Would you like a varied marketing role where one minute you could be discussing ideas with the MD and the next editing content in Photoshop or working on a new campaign?

We are recruiting for a growing specialist business looking for a talented and ambitious Marketing Executive to join its small, collaborative marketing team.

This is a varied role and would suit someone who enjoys being involved across all areas of marketing rather than being restricted to one particular channel.

Strong copywriting skills are essential, but you certainly don't need to arrive knowing everything.

The company is much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, creativity, curiosity and potential who is keen to learn and develop.

You could be writing a case study in the morning, speaking to internal teams about lead performance later that day and then jumping into Photoshop to make an adjustment to a brochure or social graphic.

There is a relatively flat structure, so you'll have exposure to people across the whole business and plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas.

What will you be doing?

Content & Copywriting

Writing will be a major part of the role, including

  • Blogs and articles
  • Website content
  • Case studies
  • Partnership content
  • Advertising editorials
  • Email campaigns
  • Social media content
  • Landing pages and FAQs
  • Campaign messaging

You'll need to be able to take information from different people within the business and turn it into clear, engaging content.

  • Producing newsletters
  • Supporting lead generation activity
  • Working with internal teams to understand how leads and campaigns are performing
  • Developing future campaigns from initial idea through to delivery

As you develop within the role, there will be the opportunity to take greater ownership of campaigns yourself.

  • Social Media & Video
  • You'll help create engaging social content across the company's channels, including:
  • Writing social posts and captions
  • Planning informative and more light-hearted Reels
  • Organising filming with people across the business
  • Helping film and edit video content
  • Editing longer-form videos
  • Supporting the launch and development of the company's Tik Tok presence

Previous Tik Tok experience would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

Design

You don't need to be a graphic designer, but you will need some basic practical design ability.

The company already has established templates and branding, so you'll mainly be making adjustments and creating marketing assets using tools such as:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • In Design
  • Premiere Pro

This could include social graphics, web banners, flyers, brochures, adverts and video content.

A good eye for detail will be important.

Website, SEO & Digital Marketing

You'll also get involved with the performance of the company website and wider digital marketing activity.

This could include

  • Reviewing website performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Basic SEO optimisation
  • Keyword monitoring
  • Website landing pages
  • Metadata and FAQs
  • Content clusters
  • SEO and AEO content
  • Google Analytics and other Google marketing tools
  • SEMrush
  • Supporting Google PPC activity
  • Monitoring links, traffic and campaign performance

You don't need to be an SEO or PPC specialist, but a basic understanding would be useful.

Events & Advertising

There will also be opportunities to support

  • Events and webinars
  • Pre and post-event marketing
  • Follow-up campaigns
  • Advertising partners
  • Advertising content
  • Campaign reporting

Occasional attendance at events may be required.

  • Happy speaking to people across a business
  • Organised and able to manage several things at once
  • Comfortable asking questions and asking for help when needed
  • Keen to learn
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and coaching
  • Able to work at pace
  • Creative with a good eye for detail

You'll ideally have around 1–2 years' marketing experience, although the quality of your experience and your potential are more important than simply ticking every box.

Experience could come from either a B2B or B2C environment.

A degree in Marketing, English Literature, Media, Journalism, History or a similar subject could also be useful, particularly where you can demonstrate strong written communication skills.

What don't you need?

You don't need to have done every single part of this job before.

If you've got exposure to around

75% of the role , can demonstrate excellent writing ability and have the personality and initiative to learn the rest, we'd still really like to hear from you.
