Willmott Dixon seeks a Collaborative Planning Specialist in Yorkshire and the East.

Role involves championing collaborative planning and working with operational teams and supply chain partners.

Key responsibilities include using technology like Nialli to improve planning and project performance.

Applicants should have strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office and ability to analyse planning information are essential.

Regular travel across multiple projects within the region is required.

Willmott Dixon has a strong commitment to sustainability and community impact.

Willmott Dixon is looking for a Collaborative Planning Specialist to help shape how we plan and deliver construction projects across Yorkshire and the East.

This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple projects, using innovative technology such as Nialli to improve collaboration, planning reliability and project performance.

Unlike a traditional planning role, you'll work closely with our operational teams and supply chain partners, coaching, influencing and embedding better ways of working that make a real difference to how our projects are delivered.

What will you be doing?

  • Championing collaborative planning across our projects, supporting teams to adopt effective planning techniques and technology.
  • Facilitating workshops, coaching site teams and supply chain partners, and sharing best practice.
  • Working with project teams to identify programme risks, challenge assumptions and improve planning reliability.
  • Supporting the effective use of Nialli and Asta Vision to improve coordination, productivity and decision-making.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping shape our approach to collaborative planning across the region.

What are we looking for?

We appreciate this is a niche role, so we're open-minded about your background.

You could come from construction planning, site management, project management or another operational background. Equally, you may already have experience of collaborative planning and want to specialise in this area.

What's important is that you:

  • Understand construction project delivery and the principles of collaborative planning.
  • Are a confident communicator who enjoys coaching, engaging and influencing people.
  • Have an interest in technology and improving how construction projects are delivered.
  • Can interpret planning information, identify challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Are proactive, adaptable and comfortable working across multiple projects.

Experience with Nialli, Asta Vision or similar planning tools would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in people with the right knowledge, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyse planning and performance information and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across projects within the region.
  • Working knowledge of Asta Vision.
  • Experience of Lean Construction or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Professional membership relevant to planning, project management or business improvement.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, coaching teams and driving behavioural change.
