The Opportunity

  • : As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in:
  • Maintaining, servicing and repairing manufacturing plant and equipment to minimise production downtime.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective electrical and mechanical repairs across a wide range of production machinery.
  • Supporting highly automated production equipment while developing your knowledge of modern Manufacturing 4.0 technologies.
  • Recording faults, breakdowns and maintenance activities accurately using the CMMS system.
  • Promoting safe working practices through risk assessments and compliance with company procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, increased reliability and enhanced production efficiency.
  • Supporting the development of Apprentices and fellow Technicians through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinating and monitoring external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
  • Carrying out planned inspections, preventative maintenance and equipment testing.

About You: We're looking for someone who can bring

  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • The client will consider candidates with either a mechanical or electrical maintenance bias.
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills across manufacturing plant and equipment.
  • Experience working with both manual and highly automated production machinery.
  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Awareness of PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • A proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit Engineering team.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to continually learn, develop and share knowledge.
