Consortium Professional Recruitment is pleased to be working exclusively with a leading organisation to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Stores Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic Supply Chain team within a forward-thinking business in the UK.

As the Stores Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the stores service that supports business operations across a five-day, two-shift pattern. You will be accountable for receiving, unloading, storing, issuing, and recording parts, equipment, materials, and supplies as required. Additionally, you will develop systems and processes to ensure stock is well managed, costs are controlled, and key KPIs are reported.

About the role:
  • Ensure the timely unloading of incoming goods.
  • Check incoming items for conformity with purchase orders, unpack, and label as required.
  • Maintain stock in an orderly and safe manner.
  • Process requisitions, issue stock as indicated, and complete relevant system transactions.
  • Oversee the packing of systems ready for shipment at the designated time.
  • Organise and assist with all stock-check processes, ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly stores area.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one reviews to assess individual performance against company values, providing constructive feedback for continuous development.
  • Support your team in the daily running of store operations.
  • Champion and promote continuous site improvement initiatives.
About you:
  • A good level of computer literacy – SAP experience desirable but not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of stores procedures and methods.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, proactive, can-do attitude with flexibility and enthusiasm.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a stores or warehouse environment.
  • Experience of Kanban systems is desired but not essential.
