Job Description
- Developing and optimising SQL Server solutions to support real-time data feeds from machines, sensors, and production lines
- Managing and enhancing time series data pipelines to power predictive analytics and performance monitoring
- Working on push notifications, protocols, and query optimisation to keep data fast, clean, and actionable
- Driving the migration to Microsoft Fabric, with a focus on KQL (Azure Data Explorer/Fabric Real-Time Analytics)
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable, high-value solutions
- Supporting reporting and analytics – Power BI now, Microsoft Fabric in the future
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of SQL Server development experience (T-SQL, stored procedures, optimisation)
- Strong background in real-time data environments and industrial telemetry
- Passion for innovation and making data work harder in a manufacturing context
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory concepts or demonstrable interest and ability to adapt to these challenges
- Experience working in Agile teams delivering incremental improvements
Nice to have:
- Exposure to industrial IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC UA) or edge computing
- Knowledge of Azure services (Event Hubs, IoT Hub, Synapse)
- Experience with predictive maintenance or manufacturing KPIs
