We’re recruiting on behalf of a market-leading manufacturing business in East Yorkshire that has recently invested heavily in modernising its site and increasing production capacity. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to add a skilled Shift Process Operator to their high-performing team. The Role:
As a Shift Process Operator, you’ll be responsible for running and monitoring production through a Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across all stages of the process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring automated production systems via DCS
- Making adjustments based on system data and in-process checks
- Recording production data, raw material usage, and quality control results
- Working closely with laboratory teams to maintain quality standards
- Managing raw materials, stock control, and storage procedures
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across production areas
- Loading finished product for dispatch
- Identifying and reporting any equipment faults or process deviations
- Supporting a safe and compliant working environment through good housekeeping and safety practices
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a DCS-controlled production environment (essential)
- A strong understanding of manufacturing or process operations
- Experience in sectors such as chemical, food, Process, or similar
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
- Ideally have IOSH or Nebosh
- A proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset
