As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting environmental, health and safety activities across the site while working closely with operational teams and senior management. The Opportunity:

  • Coordinating environmental improvement plans and supporting strategic sustainability objectives across the site.
  • Supporting managers and supervisors to identify workplace hazards and implement effective control measures to minimise risk.
  • Carrying out environmental and health & safety risk assessments, ensuring they remain compliant, current and effective.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for environmental and health & safety matters, providing guidance and support across departments.
  • Supporting the site's ISO45001 management system and assisting with the continuous improvement of HSE processes and procedures.
  • Coordinating mandatory site surveys including fire, noise, slip and DSEAR assessments.
  • Assisting with accident, incident and near miss investigations, helping to identify root causes and preventative actions.
  • Supporting internal audits, inspections and compliance activities across the site.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture and increasing awareness of environmental responsibilities throughout the business.
  • Supporting emergency response activities, monthly health and safety meetings and employee wellbeing initiatives.

Your work will directly contribute to creating a safer, healthier and more environmentally responsible workplace while helping to drive continuous improvement across the business.

About You:

  • Proven experience working within a Health, Safety and Environment function.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum requirement.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or similar operational environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels.
  • A proactive and positive approach with the confidence to influence best practice and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits or compliance-based inspections.
