Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role is predominantly reactive maintenance, with additional involvement in PPM and project work and set ups/product changeovers. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and contributing to continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime across production lines.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to enhance equipment reliability.
- Support and deliver engineering projects aimed at process and efficiency improvements.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across the site’s advanced machinery.
- Work with robotics, casers, check weighers, fillers, conveyors, and other packaging equipment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and other departments to ensure smooth production processes.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Key Requirements:
- Time-served or formally qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled).
- Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults effectively.
- Strong team player with a proactive and adaptable approach.
- Willingness to develop skills further through training and upskilling opportunities.
