Are you an Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for New Product Introduction? Do you enjoy bridging the gap between Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring innovative products can be built efficiently, safely and at scale?

This Industrial Engineer opportunity offers the chance to join an established manufacturing business investing in the next generation of products and manufacturing capability. Working at the heart of New Product Introduction (NPI), you'll collaborate with Engineering, R&D and Operations to ensure new products transition successfully from concept into production.

This isn't about maintaining existing production. It's about shaping how future products are successfully introduced into manufacture, giving you genuine influence across Engineering, R&D and Operations whilst helping deliver the next generation of manufacturing capability.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the manufacturing engineering input into new product introductions
  • Work closely with Engineering and R&D to drive Design for Manufacture (DfM)
  • Develop manufacturing processes, layouts and production methods
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and productivity
  • Specify and support investment in new manufacturing equipment and production capability
  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques to optimise manufacturing performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully introduce new products into production

What We're Looking For:

You'll probably already be working within Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering and enjoy improving manufacturing processes whilst working on new products and production improvements. Experience in most of the following would be beneficial:

  • Industrial, Manufacturing or Production Engineering within a complex manufacturing environment
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DfM)
  • Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Process development, production improvement or capital equipment projects
  • Strong communication skills with Engineering, Operations and Production teams
  • Experience within HVAC, refrigeration, automotive, aerospace, white goods, FMCG or other advanced manufacturing environments would be advantageous, although candidates from any complex manufacturing background are encouraged to apply.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to become part of a business investing in its future manufacturing capability and the next generation of products. You'll play a key role in influencing how new products are brought into manufacture, working on projects that will have a lasting impact across the organisation. You'll join a collaborative engineering team where your ideas will be valued, your technical expertise will continue to develop and you'll have the opportunity to influence manufacturing decisions from concept through to production.

You'll also benefit from:

  • £45,000 - £50,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Opportunity to influence how future products are brought into manufacture
  • Exposure to significant manufacturing investment and New Product Introduction projects
