Consortium Professional Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business as they look to appoint a Quality Engineer to join their Hull-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking quality team, where you'll contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, products, and supplier relationships for a range of technically diverse build projects. The role offers variety, technical challenge, and a platform for long-term progression within a business known for innovation and investment in its people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to develop and maintain process control documentation
- Raise non-conformance reports and coordinate resolution
- Verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
- Lead targeted development and improvement activities
- Plan and conduct process audits on-site and at suppliers in the UK and potentially internationally
- Participate in and represent Quality in problem solving investigations
- Identify and develop improvements and cost savings internally and with suppliers
- Report on Quality performance and support the assessment of new and existing suppliers
- Ensure that Part Approval requirements are communicated to suppliers and are received, reviewed and approved in a timely manner
Key Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a quality-focused engineering or manufacturing role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Audit experience (ISO9001 preferred) and a solid understanding of quality tools such as FMEA, 5 Whys, SPC, Control Plans, etc.
- UK driving licence and passport, with flexibility to travel as required
Salary & Benefits:
£36,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience) 32 days annual leave
