Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client on this exciting opportunity for a Production Planner. This is an excellent chance to join a manufacturing team committed to delivering high quality products through strong planning and scheduling practices. With a focus on operational flow, component management and collaborative working, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and making a real impact within a production environment.
The Opportunity:
- Planning and preparing the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements
- Using bespoke systems to generate work orders for the production process
- Managing stock levels and planning around minimum and maximum thresholds to trigger replenishment
- Liaising with the Sales department and tracking overdue orders
- Maintaining work centre calendars and producing weekly spares reports
- Registering new components including planning and bill of materials input
Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of manufacturing processes and strong customer service outcomes.
About You:
- The ability to communicate confidently across engineering, production and sales departments
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Solid numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience or knowledge of MRP systems
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to scheduling and planning challenges
The Benefits and Package:
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
- 37 hour working week
