Health Safety and Environmental Coordinator
Location: Hull
Salary: £29,000-£33,000 plus benefits

Consortium Professional recruitment is partnering with a market-leading manufacturing firm. We are looking for a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to support ongoing compliance and continuous improvement across all operational areas. This role will be working in a team of 4 other HSE professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the HSE compliance calendar, ensuring all statutory inspections, audits, and services (e.g. PUWER, LOLER, LEV, fire systems) are completed on time.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal departments to arrange inspections and maintenance.
- Carry out and record regular safety checks, including fire door, emergency lighting, and racking inspections.
- Keep accurate digital records of all inspections, certifications, and outstanding actions.
- Support with risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and internal audits.
- Assist in incident and near-miss investigations, tracking corrective actions through to completion.
- Monitor stock levels of PPE and first aid supplies, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Provide administrative support for HSE training, occupational health appointments, and compliance documentation.
- Escalate any compliance concerns or overdue actions promptly.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good working knowledge of HSE principles, particularly around compliance and inspections.
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with both internal teams and external contractors.
- Familiarity with PUWER, LOLER, and COSHH regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital record systems.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification – essential (or working towards it).
- Previous experience working within Health and Safety, e.g., HSE Administrator, HSE Officer, H&S Advisor, HSE Compliance.
