As Group Health and Safety Advisor, you'll join a close-knit and highly experienced HSE team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. The Opportunity

  • Supporting Health, Safety and Environmental activities across multiple UK sites and business sectors.
  • Conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Carrying out accident, incident and near-miss investigations and identifying practical preventative measures.
  • Producing and reviewing risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Supporting contractor management, permit-to-work systems and RAMS reviews.
  • Promoting fire safety, emergency preparedness and environmental compliance.
  • Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and initiatives to improve HSE awareness across the business.
  • Preparing sites for external audits, regulatory inspections and insurance visits.
  • Working closely with managers and operational teams to influence HSE policy, performance and best practice.

Your work will directly contribute to creating safer workplaces, improving compliance and embedding a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture across the organisation.

About You

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a dedicated Health and Safety role.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and environmental compliance.
  • Experience carrying out audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, contractor management, permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to positively influence colleagues at all levels.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to challenge constructively.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple sites.
  • Full UK driving licence and be happy to travel up to 25% of the time to sites across the UK.
  • Experience working across multiple sites, IOSH membership, knowledge of ISO standards or progression towards the NEBOSH Diploma would be advantageous but is not essential.
