Working mainly within the drawing office you will be creating designs for electrical systems and processes. Creating electrical systems in both 2D and 3D. You will have opportunities to liaise with various internal manufacturing departments and on occasions be involved with R&D Projects.
This role will suit someone who has a passion for design and an electrical engineering understanding and an appreciation of manufacturing and LEAN principles.
Electrical Design Engineer role & responsibilities:
- Working on multiple design requirements.
- Creating electrical system designs.
- Creating 2D wiring diagrams.
- Designing in-line with industry regulations.
- Amending drawings as and when required.
- Update drawings in-line with continuous improvement design changes
- Visiting the manufacturing department to ensure DFMA is accurate.
- Manage product quality issues
- Projects and R&D new product introduction on occasion
- Experience in both 2D and 3D electrical design.
- AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Have a good understanding of electrical design engineering and manufacturing processes.
- An appreciation of DFMA.
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Project management experience.
- Salary per annum £35,000 to £40,000
- Working hours are 8am-5.00pm with an early finish on Friday
