Consortium Professional Recruitment is proud to be partnering on a retained basis with a well-established and highly respected business within their industry to recruit an area sales manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your sales abilities to map out current client opportunities as well as secure new business.
Your role can be based out of 3 areas including Hull and North Yorkshire.
Your remit will be covering the north Yorkshire region and will entail managing your own diary and workload.
Managing customer queries / orders and maintaining customer relationships in person.
You will also be required to look at other business opportunities to grow the current client base.
The Role
As an area sales manager, you will be instrumental in growing the current client base as well as managing existing relationships.
You will have the ability to understand the customers' needs come first and you will be on hand to ensure their queries and requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage supplier relationships as well as secure new business opportunities
- Have regular one to one meetings with established clients for continuous improvement
- Have a proactive approach looking for new business opportunities, up-selling and following up on leads
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure long term client relationships.
- Work closely with internal team members which will entail regular meetings
About You
- Previous experience in an area sales or field sales role.
- Background in electrical, mechanical, or building products is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills and key account management experience
- Have a confident yet friendly approach when dealing with customers
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently to drive change.
