Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be supporting our client in the search for a Design Engineer. This role offers the chance to be involved in a variety of product development tasks in a design-led setting, where your contributions will be visible and valued.
You’ll be working as part of a small, experienced team, using SolidWorks and in-house 3D printing tools to develop new product concepts and solutions. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys seeing designs progress from early ideas to working prototypes.
The Opportunity:As a Design Engineer you’ll play a key role in:
- Creating 3D CAD models using SolidWorks with a focus on usability and manufacturability
- Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored product solutions
- Using 3D printing to support early-stage concept development and testing
- Preparing technical drawings, specification sheets and documentation for manufacturing
- Contributing to improvements in the design and engineering process
Your work will support the development and delivery of practical, well-designed products that meet client needs.
About You:We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience using SolidWorks in a product design or engineering environment
- Strong 3D CAD skills with attention to both design and detail
- Confidence preparing technical documentation such as BOMs and specification sheets
- A practical approach and the ability to work on hands-on design tasks
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with others
