Consortium Professional Recruitment is pleased to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a Quality Manager. This role is critical to driving continuous improvement in product quality and ensuring quality management processes support effective design, development, production, and maintenance.

This is a hands-on role requiring an experienced, confident individual who can both shape and implement systems that support business agility while reducing errors and miscommunication. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own, with autonomy to develop processes, collaborate across departments, and drive impactful change. You’ll be involved in all aspects of quality—from compliance and documentation to continuous improvement—making this a varied and influential position within the business.

This is a permanent position, well suited to professionals within the manufacturing, engineering, and compliance sectors, especially those with ISO9001 knowledge and experience in quality leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the company’s quality management system (QMS).
  • Ensure that product quality issues are recorded, root causes analysed, and resolutions implemented.
  • Manage ISO 9001 compliance through audits, reviews, and addressing non-conformances.
  • Conduct and oversee management reviews and internal audits.
  • Monitor Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Control waste documentation and maintain proper waste transfer records.
  • Assess suppliers and implement supplier accreditation programs.
  • Maintain technical documentation for compliance and regulatory purposes.
  • Track regulatory updates and ensure internal awareness and compliance.
  • Establish procedures for incoming goods inspections to verify specification and condition.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a quality or compliance leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO9001 and QMS frameworks.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple departments and ensure engagement with compliance procedures.
  • A proactive and systematic approach to continuous improvement.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
