Our client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced industrial technology, is looking to recruit an experienced QHSE Manager to lead their Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental function. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative engineering business where you'll play a pivotal role in driving compliance, continuous improvement and a positive safety culture across the organisation.

As QHSE Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and enhancing the Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation, whilst working collaboratively with teams across the business to deliver operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the continual improvement of the company's Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, alongside UK Health & Safety and electrical safety legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, environmental and health and safety performance.
  • Plan and lead internal audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Analyse QHSE performance data, reporting on KPIs, trends and improvement activities.
  • Develop and deliver training on quality processes, safe systems of work and compliance requirements.
  • Champion a proactive health and safety culture across all departments.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and maintain high standards.
  • Support the business in achieving operational excellence through effective quality and safety management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree qualified, or equivalent experience, in a relevant discipline.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification relating to ISO standards.
  • Previous experience in a QHSE Manager, Quality Manager, HSE Manager or similar leadership role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and integrated management systems.
  • Experience leading audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Training or experience in risk assessments, COSHH and incident investigation.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety legislation would be advantageous.
  • IOSH membership would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
