The Opportunity
- Leading the development and implementation of health, safety and environmental standards across all UK sites
- Driving full compliance with HSE legislation, internal standards and Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) requirements
- Developing and managing the HSE team, embedding a collaborative and proactive culture
- Conducting internal audits, overseeing risk assessments and implementing safe systems of work in coordination with operational teams
- Acting as the subject matter expert to senior leadership on HSE matters, identifying risks, reporting RIDDOR incidents and leading investigations
- Identifying and coordinating all necessary training and certification, supporting continuous learning and capability across teams
- Ensuring new starters, contractors and site visitors are fully inducted and compliant, issuing permits to work and reviewing contractor documentation
- Providing handsâon support and coaching to operational teams to embed a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental management
- Monitoring and maintaining environmental records, ensuring site compliance with permits and supporting sustainability initiatives

About You
- At least 3 years experience in an HSE Manager role, ideally across multiâsite manufacturing environments
- Proven experience leading a team and managing senior stakeholder relationships
- Excellent knowledge of UK HSE legislation, with practical application across operations
- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent recognised qualification in occupational health and safety
- A passion for training and a track record of coaching, training and mentoring
- Strong organisational, communication and influencing skills
- Desirable: TrainâtheâTrainer qualification and/or Certificate in Environmental Management
