Consortium Professional Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a highly successful and well-respected organisation based in the Hull area to recruit a Supply Chain Manager. This is a pivotal appointment, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of an established supply chain function and evolve it to support the next phase of business growth.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building meaningful relationships, improving processes and influencing adoption across teams. You will act as a key stakeholder across the business, ensuring seamless collaboration between estimating, buying, subcontract, SHEQ and site teams while strengthening supplier performance and compliance.
The Opportunity:As a Supply Chain Manager you’ll play a key role in:
- Managing and developing a robust, compliant and high-performing supply chain across construction trades and material suppliers
- Acting as a central stakeholder to align estimating, buying, subcontract, SHEQ and site management teams
- Reviewing, auditing and maintaining supplier compliance, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Identifying, onboarding and developing new suppliers while strengthening existing relationships
- Implementing supplier grading, performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
Your work will directly contribute to enabling sustainable business growth and ensuring operational excellence across all project delivery stages.
About You:We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager within construction, civils or infrastructure environments
- Experience managing supplier compliance, auditing and performance frameworks
- The ability to think strategically and shape direction, while also being willing to roll their sleeves up and support the team with day-to-day tasks when needed.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence at all levels
- Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Understanding of BREEAM principles is advantageous but not essential
