Lead Quality Excellence in a Highly Regulated Manufacturing Environment

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, leading quality engineering activities, supporting operational excellence and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance, support product and process changes, and ensure products consistently meet quality, regulatory and customer requirements. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership, mentor quality professionals and influence business-wide quality standards.

The Opportunity:

  • Leading Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability and continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing performance and product quality.
  • Driving root cause investigations, CAPA activities and structured problem-solving using Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D and other recognised quality methodologies.
  • Providing quality leadership for product and process changes, validation activities, risk management and new product introductions, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Analysing process performance using statistical techniques to identify trends, reduce variation and improve yield, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders to improve process capability, manage quality risks and deliver successful projects.
  • Acting as a technical quality expert during audits, investigations and management reviews, presenting quality metrics and driving data-led decision making.
  • Mentoring Quality Engineers and supporting the wider operational teams, fostering technical excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.

Your work will directly contribute to product quality, operational excellence, regulatory compliance and continuous business improvement.

We're looking for someone who can bring:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Extensive experience within Quality Engineering, including previous experience in a senior or technical leadership capacity.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO quality management systems, statistical analysis, process control and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt as a minimum, with Black Belt highly desirable.
  • Experience using SPC, process capability analysis, validation, risk management and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor others and influence across multiple functions.
