Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client, a successful international FMCG business, to recruit a Logistics Coordinator based in East Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation with a strong global presence, where you'll play an important role in keeping international supply chain operations running smoothly.

You’ll become part of a supportive, collaborative team, working with international suppliers, freight partners and colleagues across the business. With a competitive salary, discretionary bonus and opportunities to develop your expertise, this position offers both variety and long-term career potential.

The Opportunity

As a Logistics Coordinator you’ll play a key role in:

  • Coordinating international import and export shipments, ensuring products reach their destinations efficiently and on schedule.
  • Preparing shipping documentation, supporting customs clearance and ensuring compliance with relevant trade regulations and Incoterms.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders, shipping lines, hauliers, suppliers and internal teams to maintain excellent service levels.
  • Monitoring shipment schedules, resolving delivery challenges and maintaining accurate logistics records and systems.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, manage costs and support the movement of high-volume, time-sensitive FMCG products.

Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and efficiency of international supply chain operations, helping the business deliver excellent service to customers across global markets.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can bring:

  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or import and export coordination.
  • An understanding of international shipping procedures, customs documentation and relevant import/export regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and familiarity with logistics or ERP systems.

Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or distribution would be advantageous, although it’s not essential. We’re equally interested in hearing from people with transferable logistics experience who are motivated to develop their international trade knowledge.

You’ll enjoy working with others, taking ownership of your responsibilities and finding practical solutions to everyday challenges. If you meet most of the requirements and believe you could succeed in the role, we’d encourage you to apply.

The Benefits and Package

In return, you’ll enjoy:

  • Salary of up to £30,000 per annum.
  • Discretionary company bonus.
  • Attractive company benefits package.
  • Supportive, collaborative and welcoming team culture.
  • Exposure to international markets and varied supply chain operations.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • The stability of an established and successful international business.

You’ll be joining a business that values its people and encourages a positive working environment, with opportunities to broaden your experience and make a meaningful contribution.
