Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with an established UK manufacturer to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a progressive engineering environment where investment, innovation and continuous improvement are central to the development of its manufacturing operations.
The Opportunity:
- Developing and delivering capital projects covering equipment replacement, new product introduction, automation and continuous improvement.
- Creating investment proposals for new equipment, modifications and facility improvements, providing clear technical and cost justification.
- Specifying, introducing and improving production equipment, electrical systems and manufacturing technologies.
- Using structured problem-solving techniques, including PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Measurement System Analysis, to evaluate solutions and support successful project delivery.
- Working with internal teams, suppliers, consultants and contractors to deliver equipment and production systems safely, effectively and to agreed project requirements.
About You:
- Strong electrical engineering expertise combined with practical experience of manufacturing or industrial equipment.
- A minimum HNC-level engineering qualification. A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Electrical or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Experience delivering capital projects, introducing or modifying production equipment, fault finding and supporting continuous improvement.
- A methodical approach to problem solving, with strong analytical, project management, health and safety and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, vision systems, industrial control systems, electrical safety testing
- 18th Edition qualification would also be advantageous.
- Someone who is resilient, innovative and driven in there approach to people and projects
