Consortium Professional Recruitment is delighted to work with our client to recruit a CAD Design Engineer for an exciting opportunity based in Hull.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established manufacturing business with a reputation for engineering excellence, where you will contribute to the development of innovative products within a collaborative and forward‑thinking team.

The Opportunity

  • Creating and maintaining accurate 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings to the highest standards.
  • Developing practical and innovative engineering solutions that improve product performance, manufacturability, cost and weight.
  • Producing engineering documentation that complies with recognised industry standards.
  • Collaborating with engineering and design colleagues to support new product development and continuous product improvements.
  • Contributing ideas that improve engineering processes, product quality and the effective use of CAD systems across the business.

About You

  • Experience working as a CAD Design Engineer or in a similar engineering design role.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD.
  • Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and working to recognised drafting standards.
  • Knowledge of engineering change processes, including engineering change requests and engineering change orders.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to work accurately whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A degree in Engineering, CAD or a related technical discipline would be advantageous, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
