Take ownership of quality, solve complex manufacturing challenges and drive meaningful improvement. This is a hands-on senior quality engineering role within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, offering the opportunity to get close to operations, tackle complex production challenges and influence how quality and process performance are improved.

You'll work across Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing, taking a lead role in investigations, supporting validation and change activity, and using data and structured problem-solving techniques to deliver sustainable improvements.

The Role

  • Providing day-to-day quality engineering support across manufacturing operations, helping teams identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
  • Taking the lead on complex root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions through to effective, sustainable resolution.
  • Supporting change control, risk assessments, verification and validation activities within a regulated environment.
  • Using statistical analysis and quality tools to support robust, data-led decision making.
  • Identifying opportunities to understand and improve process performance.
  • Leading continuous improvement projects focused on defect reduction, yield, quality and operational performance.
  • Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality colleagues to maintain high standards of product quality and compliance.
  • Providing technical quality expertise and guidance to colleagues, helping embed best practice and a strong culture of continuous improvement.

About You

We're looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, improvement-focused approach and the confidence to take ownership of complex quality challenges. You'll ideally bring:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Strong quality engineering experience gained within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within medical devices would be particularly advantageous, although candidates from other highly regulated sectors are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, risk management, validation and statistical quality methods.
  • Experience using quality tools and data to investigate issues and support process improvement.
  • A track record of leading investigations and driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • The confidence to investigate problems, challenge constructively and influence teams to implement improvements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, analytical approach and genuine interest in continuous improvement.
