We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our patients. The successful candidate will work closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and the wider practice team to provide evidence-based nursing care and support the management of both acute and long-term health conditions.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of nursing services including cervical screening, childhood and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, wound care and dressings, NHS health checks.
- Support the management of patients with long-term conditions including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Hypertension and Cardiovascular disease.
- Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice.
- Assist with infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities and professional development.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience of working within GP practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
- Qualification in cervical cytology.
- Experience managing long-term conditions.
- Immunisation and vaccination training.
- Knowledge of EMIS Web.
