We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed GP to join our experienced and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work on a Thursday with one session being on call. We are a well established Practice situated in Leyland, Preston with easy access to the motorway. The team has an established skill mix whereby the GPs and nursing team work closely together to provide first-rate patient access. The Practice is part of an excellent, proactive Primary Care Network with other local practices.
Start Date: February 2026
Salary and Other Terms: £10,500 per session per annum plus defence fees and 6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 1 week study leave (pro rata).
The Practice:
- 1 partner with 3 salaried GPs
- 5,700 patients
- CQC Rated Good in all areas
- Consistently high QOF achievement
- No Out of Hours
- Excellent nursing team
- Dedicated administrative team
- EMIS Web clinical system
Main Duties:
- Salaried GP supporting the GP partner to provide first class patient care
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe and manage treatment plans
- Co-ordinate with specialist and community teams
- Promote screening and preventative care
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
Job Description:
- Face to face surgeries and telephone consultations
- Associate administration
- Prescribe in line with practice, local and national guidance
- Home visits (when required)
- Accurate record keeping
