The Regional Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial management, governance, and compliance across multiple markets within the region. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, drives operational efficiency, and partners with market and regional leadership to support business growth and profitability. You will lead the development and standardisation of financial processes, systems, and controls across markets, while providing strategic financial insight to support commercial decision‑making. This role requires a balance of strong technical expertise, regional stakeholder management, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, multi‑market agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Control, Governance & Compliance
- Oversee and manage financial operations across all assigned markets, ensuring consistency and accuracy of reporting.
- Manage the monthly/quarterly financial reporting process for the region.
- Establish and standardise financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks across markets.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial results at both market and regional levels.
- Lead regional consolidation, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements across markets, Group policies (Omnicom), and internal controls (e.g. SBOX).
- Review reconciliation of management reporting to US GAAP.
- Serve as an on-call troubleshooter for the regional operation.
- Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Act as a key finance partner to Regional Business Leads, Market MDs, and Brand Directors.
- Provide visibility on regional revenue performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Drive regional forecasting, budgeting, and reforecasting processes.
- Monitor progress against budget/forecast, interpret operating results, understand causal relationships and identify corrective actions.
- Regional Operations & Process Optimisation
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of financial processes across markets.
- Implement scalable systems and tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure alignment of financial practices across markets while accommodating local requirements.
- Support regional initiatives related to transformation, automation, and reporting improvements.
- Co‑coordinate inputs to global and regional projects and pitches.
- Assist in local markets crisis.
- Assist on internal audit – Omnicom IA, SOX audit.
- Support regional acquisition and divestiture initiatives.
- Manage other ad‑hoc projects as assigned.
- Team Leader / Department Head
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple markets (directly or through dotted lines).
- Ensure clear structures, roles, and coverage across markets.
- Build capability within local finance teams to meet regional standards.

Job Specifications
Experience and Skill
- Professional qualification in Finance / Accounting.
- 12–18 years’ experience, ideally within advertising, marketing services, or professional services.
- Proven experience managing finance across multiple markets or in a regional role.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP, multi‑entity and multi‑currency environments.
- Experience working with diverse regulatory environments across countries.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
