We are seeking a qualified Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer to oversee and enforce safety, health, and environmental standards across project sites. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Management & Compliance
- Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems across project sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant WSH regulations and statutory requirements.
- Review, update, and communicate safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Site Inspections & Risk Management
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Lead and review risk assessments (RA) and safe work procedures (SWP) for all activities.
- Ensure proper safety measures are implemented for all work equipment and operations.
- Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Recommend and follow through on corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all incidents and safety-related documentation.
- Training & Stakeholder Coordination
- Ensure all workers comply with mandatory WSH training and certification requirements.
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and awareness programs.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to improve workplace safety standards and culture.
- Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects (e.g., LTA projects).
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities.
