As they scale their data infrastructure to support growing product complexity and global traffic, the team is now seeking a seasoned data engineer to take technical ownership while remaining actively involved in development.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines to process both batch and real-time streaming data efficiently.
  • Build and maintain robust data warehouse architectures, including data modeling and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Develop and optimize data infrastructure on cloud platforms using modern data ecosystem tools.
  • Implement reliable and maintainable frameworks to process and analyze large-scale datasets.
  • Work closely with product managers, backend engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to support data-driven product development.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency by establishing data governance standards, validation processes, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data processing efficiency, platform scalability, and overall data platform performance.
  • Participate in agile development cycles, contributing to technical design discussions and continuous improvement of data systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining data warehouse solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
  • Solid experience developing both batch and real-time streaming data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, AliCloud, GCP or similar).
  • Proficiency in SQL, including advanced functions such as window functions, aggregations, and user-defined functions.
  • Experience building end-to-end data solutions, including data ingestion, storage, transformation, and analytics enablement.
