RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be a key member of the Infra Operation & Cyber Security team reporting to the Server Operation team lead. The position is on a contractual basis and will be reviewed for renewal annually.
- Responsible for Azure Cloud (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and on premise infra operations covering virtual machines, backup and SAN storage.
- Perform day‑to‑day system or application job request and support.
- Support basic Microsoft SQL administration on ad‑hoc basis.
- Responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of virtual machines (Wintel and Linux) and applications.
- Manage and co‑ordinate with third party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Ensure availability and continuity of infrastructure services.
- Proactively monitor and maintain system standards.
- Plan and co‑ordinate monthly or ad‑hoc patching with various stakeholders.
- Involved in incident, problem, change and service request management.
- Stand‑by support after office hours and during weekend/public holidays if necessary.
- Work on multiple projects to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures and IT policies.
- Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in managing and administration with Wintel and Linux servers.
- Working experience with Azure Cloud administration.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft SQL administration.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following will be advantageous:
- Open source technology
- Scripting, e.g. PowerShell, Bash
- Ansible automation
