Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic HR plans and policies to support the company's mission and strategy.
  • Overall management of Human Resources & Administration Division.
  • Job allocation and performance monitoring of all division members.
  • Budget setting and execution for the Division.
  • Promote and provide specialised services to internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for aligning and implementing overall Corporate Human Resources Strategy and Programmes with HQ in Japan and group companies in Asia Pacific region.
  • Plan, design and execute Talent Management Development related activities for group companies in Asia Pacific region, working closely with HQ in Japan and each group company.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and industry regulations, and provide advice to group companies in Asia Pacific region on legal implications of HR issues if necessary.
  • Enhance and implement measures to raise employee awareness towards CSR and corporate values to “Do the right thing” in each duty, and define organisation and governance structure for expanding businesses in Asia Pacific region.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to support the activities as representative of Asia Pacific region mainly from the Human Resources & Administration perspective.

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and judgement skills to gain insight into businesses.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to engage with external stakeholders, HQ in Japan and group companies in other countries.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resource and Administration.
  • Good knowledge of cross-cultural communication, local and global legal standards as well as HR practices in Asia Pacific region.
  • Good understanding of Human Capital Management, Human Capital Disclosures, and diversity.
  • Highly proficient in the Japanese language is necessary in order to communicate and negotiate effectively with HQ in Japan and other Japan-based stakeholders.
  • Frequent travelling is expected.
