Position Overview
The accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations and accounting activities of the organization. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial and management reports with financial analysis and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role will also support GST submission, forecasting, budgeting, auditing, month-end/year-end closing process and ensuring timely statutory submissions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Responsible for financial and management reporting functions, including group consolidation.
- Maintain full sets of accounts and prepare monthly management accounts, reports, and schedules in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Preparing monthly variance analysis and financial commentary for management.
- Ensure proper documentation of accounting records and audit-ready financial data.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and submit GST filings to IRAS for Singapore entities.
- Assist in statutory audit preparation, corporate tax filing, and other compliance requirements.
- Prepare and submit financial statistics to government authorities.
- Review Transfer Pricing documents for Singapore entities.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities if required.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and risk management procedures.
- Cash Flow & Treasury
- Prepare and review bank reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly cashflow projection to HQ for working capital planning.
- Process Improvement & Support
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
