Consortio is proud to be partnering with a growing and well-established ship management company based in the Mediterranean in the search for a Safety Superintendent to join their expanding shore-based team in Malta. Managing a diverse fleet across Bulk, Chemical, Dry Cargo, AHTS and Offshore sectors, this organisation has built a strong reputation for operational excellence and continues to invest heavily in fleet support and safety performance as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

This is a key position within the business, responsible for overseeing safety operations across a varied commercial fleet and ensuring the highest standards of compliance, operational safety and crew support are maintained. Working closely with vessel crews, operational teams and MSI/Safety Officers, the successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening safety culture, supporting fleet operations and driving continuous improvement across multiple vessel types. This opportunity would suit a maritime professional with strong operational experience who is looking to join a dynamic international environment with long-term progression opportunities.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Safety Superintendent, MSI, Safety Officer or senior shipboard officer
  • Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations, ISM compliance and operational procedures
  • Experience working across Bulk, Chemical, AHTS, Tug or Offshore vessels
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable individual willing to relocate to Malta
