Deputy Chief Operating Officer in London

Consortio is delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s leading ship management companies in its search for a Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Based in Europe, this newly defined role will report directly into the COO and play a critical part in supporting and enhancing the operational leadership of the company’s global fleet.
This position is ideal for a dynamic and forward‑thinking maritime professional who has sailed to the rank of Master or Chief Engineer and has since built a successful career ashore. You will already hold — or be very close to — a Deputy COO-level position and bring with you a modern, people‑focused leadership style. As part of the senior management team, you’ll be expected to oversee broad operational activities, lead cross‑functional initiatives, and drive performance across the business while upholding the company’s high standards of safety, compliance, and quality. This is a key succession planning role and a rare chance to step into the upper executive levels of one of the industry’s most respected and high‑performing organisations.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
Have sailed to the rank of Master Mariner or Chief Engineer
Have built a career ashore with significant operational and leadership responsibilities
Ideally already hold or be operating at a Deputy COO level
Possess strong management experience and the ability to lead large, diverse teams
Embrace a modern, collaborative leadership style
Be willing to relocate if needed, (sponsorship is available)
