Our client is a world leading consultancy business who work in the LNG marketplace. They provide expert services to design tank and LNG systems for ships and LNG storage facilities the world over. With exciting expansion plans in place, it is a great time to join this business but at present they are still small enough for you to know the whole team and have a close connection with senior management.

One of the parts of this business is their training service which is provided to their LNG ship owning clients and they are currently aiming to expand their team by bringing in a new trainer to support the growth. Your job will be to host online training courses to train crew that work aboard ships that need to understand sophisticated gas systems on board vessels and how to operate these systems in a safe manner. You will be supervising the use of the online simulators to train and develop the crew going through the training program.

To be suitable for this role you will:

  • Have sailed to a senior rank on board LNG or LPG vessels.
  • Have the right attitude and mentality to train.
  • Have excellent people skills.
  • Have a passion for writing new course material.
  • Excellent command of English (word perfect).
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Have an interest in supporting the simulator designers to build a stronger system through feedback you offer.

This will be a long term working from home role though there will be times needing travel (when possible) to other countries in Europe to meet with members of the team. You will be offered a competitive salary (for the training market) plus a strong pension and health benefits.
