Our client is a leading name in synthetic printing. This allows them to print and deliver across all sectors, industrial, commercial and marine. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Technician to join their team working on a dayshift.
As an Electrical Technician, you will spend your days maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, collaborating with other team members, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will be involved in routine inspections, documentation of maintenance activities, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.
Electrical Technician Responsibilities:- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment
- React quickly and efficiently to plant breakdowns
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
- Repair or replace faulty electrical parts, wiring, and equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair 3-phase motors, PLCs, VFDs, and other electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Document maintenance and repair activities, including updating equipment records and work orders
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support overall facility operations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system efficiency and reliability
- Participate in call out system
- 18th Edition certification
- Proficient in diagnosing PLC/HMI systems, with some experience of ladder logic
- Proficient in diagnosing and commissioning Variable Frequency Drives
- Excellent control and automation experience, including modifying existing controls systems and implementing new control systems
- Proficient in fault-finding, 3 phase and single-phase systems
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on factory automation and maintenance
- Strong diagnostic skills with experience in LV circuits, electrical motors, and power lighting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in electrical work
