We are working with a scaling B2B SaaS client that is building business critical, customer facing software used every day by a growing user base. They are looking for a Product Engineer to join the team permanently and play a key role in shaping how the product is built and evolved. This is a senior, hands on role with real ownership and influence.
You will operate across the full product development lifecycle, from shaping early concepts and technical direction through to delivery, iteration, and long term improvement. The role will suit someone who has worked in start ups or scale ups or who has been a founding engineer and is comfortable operating independently, taking ownership in environments where structure exists but is not heavy.
You will think in terms of outcomes and user impact rather than individual tasks, breaking down complex or ambiguous problems and setting direction where it is not already defined. Your work will have direct impact on product quality, user experience, and engineering standards.
You will work across the full stack, building and evolving both frontend and backend systems that support core product functionality. You will translate product intent into robust, scalable, and well structured solutions, partnering closely with design, operations, and senior stakeholders to guide decisions through practical engineering judgement rather than abstract theory.
You will communicate clearly and consistently in a fully remote environment, balancing delivery speed with long term quality and taking ownership without the need for constant oversight. You will be expected to work confidently within existing systems, improving and refactoring where necessary, and contributing to architectural and UX decisions through implementation rather than documentation alone.
You will use modern AI assisted development workflows in a considered and responsible way, treating them as tools that support good engineering judgement rather than shortcuts, with a clear understanding of the limitations and risks of over reliance on generated output. You will review, reason about, and strengthen code to production standards, favouring maintainable, testable, and long lived solutions over short term fixes.
Technical experience required:
- Extensive experience building and operating production systems using React and Next.js
- Strong experience developing and maintaining mobile applications with React Native
- Strong experience building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of component driven development and modern frontend architecture
- Proven ability to work within established systems across the full stack and raise their quality over time
- Experience collaborating closely with designers and translating Figma designs into high quality user interfaces
- Working knowledge of Webflow for maintaining marketing or product sites
- A thoughtful approach to evaluating, testing, and validating technical approaches before implementation
